Description of development of a measure of the frequencies of nine drugs as in ASSIST, quantities for alcohol & tobacco, and prescribed medications. Internal consistencytest-retest alcohol frequency 0.95 quantity 0.95. Convergent validity frequency of use correlates with LDQ, CORE10, SSQ, EQ5D is variable but as expected for the nine drugs;  alcohol frequency correlates with quantity (units) SUSS 0.37, TOP 0.53. Concurrent validity‣ frequency of use correlates with ASSIST 0.22 to 0.98; TOP 0.40 to 0.91; alcohol units correlates with AUDIT 0.96, withTOP 0.77.

Discriminant validity AUDIT-C cutoff ≥5 for heavy drinking 73% sensitivity 88% specificity; for active abuse or dependence 67% sensitivity 75% specificity; AUC for alcohol misuse AUDIT-C 0.88; AUDIT 0.88; Question 3 alone 0.83.
